ESTA (Visa Waiver Program)
The UK participates in the US Visa Waiver Program (VWP). You don't need a paper visa, but you need an electronic authorization called ESTA.Important Rules
- Apply Online: You must apply at least 72 hours before departure via the [official ESTA website](https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/).
- Validity: An ESTA is valid for 2 years or until your passport expires.
- Previous Travel: If you have traveled to Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, or Syria recently, you might not be eligible for ESTA and will need to apply for a visa at an embassy.
